At Chrisland Schools, one of our primary objectives is to instill in our learners the skills and knowledge not only to compete with their peers worldwide but also to excel. It's not uncommon for them to surpass the competition and achieve global recognition (Top in the World for a reason!).
We proudly celebrate one of our recent graduates, Stephan Mbala! Stephan was a distinguished member of the Class of 2022 at Chrisland High School VGC. Throughout his time at CHSVGC, he stood out as an academic luminary and a role model, ultimately becoming the Deputy Head Boy of the school. In pursuit of his higher education beyond our borders, Stephan applied to six universities in the United States and was admitted to all six, securing five scholarships in the process. He received a competitive scholarship covering in-state tuition, valued at $18,300, along with an international tuition cost reduction and a $100 stipend each semester from New Mexico State University. Furthermore, he earned a $7,000 merit-based Presidential scholarship and an Akron Advantage Award scholarship from the University of Akron, totaling $27,964. Stephan also received a $17,000 merit-based scholarship from McMurry University and a $6,000 merit-based scholarship from West Virginia University. Through these remarkable achievements, Stephan embodies the spirit of excellence that defines Chrisland. We, the Chrisland family, are immensely proud of you, Stephan! As you continue your academic journey, always remember to be a beacon of inspiration, and know that we will be here to support you every step of the way. Above all, never forget the words, “Non Scholar Ced Vita!” Godspeed, Stephan! On Tuesday, September 26, 2023 during the inaugural edition of the Beacon of Safety (BOS) Awards organized by the Safe School Lagos (SSLAG), an initiative of the Lagos State Safety Commission, our Schools in Lagos were awarded the Beacon of Safety Awards. According to the organisers, the award was given to schools and individuals that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing safety practices and minimising risks in the school environment.”
The award is an acknowledgment of the strides we have made in our efforts to ensure that our learners receive a world-class education in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. In the same vein, our Managing Director, Mrs Ibrionke Adeyemi, was awarded the Beacon of Safety Visionary Award. We want to use this medium to reiterate our commitment to safety and compliance and regulatory agencies’ requirements.
