Dr. Deborah Chiamaka Motilewa, a remarkable individual, has a strong educational foundation rooted in Chrisland School, Opebi, and Chrisland College. Her thirst for knowledge took her to Dublin Business School in Ireland, where she earned her BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance in 2011. Subsequently, she pursued an M.Sc (Econs) in International Business, Energy, and Petroleum from the University of Aberdeen, UK, in 2012. Driven by her passion for continuous growth, she completed her PhD in Business Management at Covenant University in 2018, achieving the extraordinary feat of becoming the youngest PhD graduate from a Nigerian university at the age of 25.
As the founder and co-coordinator of REEP Africa (Renewable Energy and Electrification Project, Africa), Dr. Deborah spearheads an organization dedicated to promoting the use of renewable energy as a sustainable source in developing countries. Additionally, she serves as the founder and executive director of The VolunteerNG, a non-profit organization bridging the education gap by connecting underprivileged children with volunteers who provide both financial and moral support. Recognized for her significant contributions, Dr. Deborah emerged as the winner of the Africa Youth Choice Awards in 2015 for her relentless efforts in advancing science and technology in Africa. Her multifaceted expertise as a lecturer, researcher, business developer, and project manager positions her to meet the increasing demand for excellence in education, research, and business development. Dr. Deborah's voice and insights have also been featured twice on BBC Africa, addressing critical national issues. Currently, she imparts knowledge and wisdom as a lecturer at Covenant University, Ota, and actively serves as the Vice-President of the Chrisland Alumni Association.
